By car from East

 

You need to be on the A66 which can either be joined at junction 40 from the M6 or  further east from the A1 at Scotch Corner. Follow the A66 away from Penrith towards Keswick and Cockermouth for approximately 24miles. Once past Keswick follow the A66 alongside Bassenthwaite Lake which you should have on your right hand side. You will eventually come to a section of dual carriageway after which you should take the first right hand junction leaving the A66. Immediately after leaving the A66 take the first right hand junction (B5291). Bassenthwaite Sailing Club can be found 100yds after the second junction.

 

By car from West

 

A66 towards Cockermouth and Keswick. After approximately 2 miles after passing the turn off for the village of Embleton, turn left and immediately right onto B5291 following signs for Castle Inn, Dubwath and the brown tourist attraction signs for Lake District Wildlife Park. Bassenthwaite Sailing Club can be found 100yds after the second junction.

 

By car from South

 

M6 to Penrith junction 40 and head west towards Keswick and follow instructions travelling from the east.

 

By car from North
